April Fools' Day

Everyone knows I bake... 
and decorate cakes.

So here's a no sugar, gluten-free cupcake! 
For reals!


But look closer...


Its actually a meatloaf muffin with mashed potato swirl.

Use your favorite meatloaf recipe. 
I used half 95% lean ground beef and half ground turkey
so there is minimal fat/grease in the muffin tin. 
I tinted mashed potatoes with a little bit of food coloring,
you can also use beet juice for natural coloring.
Swirl and top with cheese as "sprinkles"

Talk Like a Pirate Day (and a huge giveaway!)

ARGGH!!!  AHOY THERE, MATEYS! Okay. And that's pretty much all the Pirate I know. In honor of Talk Like a Pirate Day, my bento friends and I put together a fun hop with an opportunity to find some booty--a giveaway! Halloween Lunch 2013

There's a creepy, crawly, scary blog hop going on! Halloween is around the corner, so my friends and I put together a Frightful Fall Blog Hop to inspire you to create fun or creepy lunches for the kids this month!  Miss C's lunch Full Moon + Cat Silhouette is made out of cheese and nori.  Waffle and turkey meatballs. Organic peaches cup with Jack-O-Lantern face.
