Monday:

C's lunch: Homemade "Lunchables": ham, cheddar and Ritz crackers
Watermelon, blueberries and fruit snacks
My lunch: soup, watermelon/blueberries, mozz cheese stick
Tuesday:
C's day off
My lunch: banana bread oatmeal, mozz cheese stick, and an apple

Wednesdsay:

C's lunch: Salad with turkey
rice crackers, strawberries, and blueberries
 My lunch: Salad and blueberries
Notice I don't waste the scraps when I cut out shapes for C's lunch.
They either become part of my lunch, or more often, I eat for my breakfast.

Thursday:

C's lunch: heart shaped chocolate Sunbutter sandwich
veggie chips, strawberries, Babybel cheese,
Strawberry Frosted Mini Wheats,strawberry yogurt
Sunbutter is not C's favorite. She prefers peanut butter, but she goes to a nut-free school. I finally figured out a way to make Sunbutter palatable for C. I took 1/4 cup of sunbutter and added 2 T chocolate syrup. It made the Sunbutter easier to spread (we store it in the fridge to make it last longer--we're still in our first jar since school started).  Plus it tasted way better than before. Everything taste better with chocolate.

My lunch: popcorn and coffee (and an apple)
I forgot to pack my lunch and  had no time to go get lunch.
My bootcamp trainer was not amused. ha!
 Friday:

C's lunch: chocolate Sunbutter sandwich w/ladybug cheese
graham crackers, apple, and fruit snacks.
The chocolate Sunbutter concoction was such a hit, C asked for it the next day. I had a sandwich cutter fail with this lunch. My husband bought the store brand bread, which wasn't bad, but the slices were too small for my regular sandwich cutters. And by Friday, the bread wasn't as fresh and it wasn't soft enough that when I pushed the cutter through, the bread basically crumbled.

I got this really cute cutter for Christmas from my mom! :)

My coworker went to Jimmy John's for lunch and I had a Beach Club, my favorite sandwich. I thought this was a pretty healthy sandwich, after all, it had avocado and alfalfa sprouts... right? Wrong. It had 729 calories and 30 grams of fat!!!  Next time I will make it an "Unwich" (lettuce wrap instead of bread) with no mayo, making it only 199 calories and only 9 grams of fat.
Lesson learned.

  2. Love the idea to add chocolate syrup! Probably mixes better than the powder, which had been my plan!

Join us on a Jolly Holiday Blog Hop  sponsored by Bento Blogger and Friends! Miss C doesn't like her sandwiches cut lately. She likes the crust so she's been asking me to just cut her sandwiches in half, diagonally. By cutting the gingerbread out of the bread, Mommy can get her creative on and she can still have her crust. :) Gingerbread Nutella sandwich,  diced chicken with ketchup and green apple packed in  EasyLunchBox Please click on the picture below and look at the yummy lunch made by my friend Christine of My Epicurean Adventures ! note: This post may contain Amazon Affiliate links
